When it comes to the production of your DVD, we want to ensure it meets your expectations and leaves a lasting impression on everyone who watches it. To help us achieve this, there are certain things you should try to include when providing your photographs, music, text and video.
We have put together this set of guidelines to help you provide us with everything we need to create your special invitations, thank yous and photo montages.

Montage Wedding Invitations
Our Montage Wedding Invitations contain up to 20 photographs of the happy couple and the wedding venue, which are combined with text and music into a dynamic slideshow presentation which will give your guests all the information they need to attend your big day.
To help us provide all of the necessary information to your guests you should try to include in your selection of photographs the following:
The pictures you choose are entirely up to you but we find that the best invitations are the ones which tell a story. Maybe you could use photographs from childhood through to present day or tell the story of how you both met. If he (or she!) proposed romantically then you may have some photographs from the event that you could use. Be creative! We will do our best to produce for you an invitation based on any ideas you can think of.
Montage Wedding Invitations + Menu
If you have selected a Montage Wedding Invitation with a menu added then you should read the above guidelines on Montage Invitations. You will also need to decide on which menu links you would like to be included on your menu page - i.e. directions to venue, gift list etc. As standard, your DVD will come with 4 menu links. One of these will be a link to your Montage and the other 3 will be your own choice.
Maps & Directions: If you are including Maps & directions on your invitation then you will need to provide us with the map images. A good source for these is Google Maps. You can send us either the images or the web address to the images. Your directions must be sent in a text document (i.e. Notepad, WordPad or Word) and you must check these carefully as we will cut and paste them and cannot be held responsible for any errors made with regard to spelling, grammar and accuracy.
Video Message: If you wish to include a video message on your invitation they you can send us the actual footage on tape (DV only please) with the tape set to the start of the clip you wish to include and a clear indication of where the clip ends. Alternatively you can send us the footage on disc or memory card in mpeg, QuickTime or AVI format. Any media you send us will be returned to you with your order or sooner if required.
Interactive Invitations
Your Interactive Invitation comes with 5 questions as standard. You will need to think of the questions and answers to the quiz and provide appropriate photographs to accompany them. Your questions are entirely up to you but try not to make them too hard - you don't want your guests to give up before winning their invitation!
Again you will need to decide on which menu links you would like to include. Your invitation comes with 4 menu links. Please see above for more information on this.
Sending your photographs
If you are sending digital photographs or photographs that you have scanned yourself then they should be saved in JPEG format and named in the order that you would like them to appear on the DVD. For instance image_01, image_02, image_03....etc. Save them to a CD or a memory stick and post them to us. We will return them to you with your order.
If you are scanning your own photographs then please set your scanner to scan at at least 300dpi (dots per square inch). This is necessary so that the images are large enough to use on screen without any loss of quality occurring. Please contact us if you need help with this.
If you aren't feeling technical you can always send us your actual photographs and we will scan them for you. Provided there are less than 25 photographs, we will happily do this for you free of charge. Above this we must charge you a scanning fee.
If sending printed photographs then please place them in the order you would like them to appear on the DVD and number them on the back, either using Post-Its or a pencil. For instance image_01, image_02, image_03....etc.
Sending your music
We have a wide selection of royalty free music, suitable for all occasions which you can choose from to accompany your production. If you wish to use music which we don't have then you must either provide it for us on CD (originals please, not copies) or you can purchase the music from an online store and email us the mp3.
As a rough guide, 1 music track normally lasts around 35 - 40 photographs so you should bear this in mind when selecting photos and music.
The music you choose is entirely up to you but we have found that these productions work best when the music selected is appropriate to the occasion - i.e. don't put techno music on a wedding invitation!
Please note that the production we make for you is for personal use and not a commercial production to be profited from. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that they own the music they provide and have the right to use it in their production.
Photo Montages
The photographs you select for a photo montage are entirely up to you and will depend largely upon the occasion it is created for. The most popular montages are normally to celebrate a person's life from birth through to present day, to give as an extra special birthday or Christmas gift. If this is the case them you should try to choose a good mix of photographs from all periods of the person's life and arrange them in chronological order, from earliest to most recent.
The music you select will also play an important part of making your photo montage a success. Try and choose music which has meaning to the person receiving the DVD and which will compliment the photographs as they appear on screen. A music track normally lasts around 3 minutes in which time about 30 photographs will have been shown so bear this in mind as you choose music.
